Kid Cid Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 After seeing the deals Big Ben and Eli got, Philip Rivers has got to be licking his chops. There's no way A.J. will let Rivers get away. Expect another big contract signing before the end of this season. Considering the Eli jand Ben got rings, I'd almost be willing to bet that the Chargers let him see what he can do this year on the field before they go talking contract with him. I'm not saying that they'll let him get away (and they shouldn't IMO) it's just assuming that the Chargers make the playoffs again this year and don't go to the superbowl, they can point to a couple of flameouts as a reason to not overpay him.
