Down Goes Frazia
lynch: two very good picks I think that this is going to be Sergio's tournament. You might want to look at the young european based players for your next two picks. DL3 might slip if there is a run on european players like happens in a lot of British ope drafts. Scott and Rose are two to think about for at least one of you next two picks. yeah I'm pretty sure DL3 will go next pick or at the very least in the next few..... based on his recent track record over there. I too love Sergio here. I actually don't care if I have ALL euro players . Monty is an intriguing pick to me. Troon is his home and he grew up on the course..... but picking @ 15 & 16 I think there will still be better choices on the board.
Squeegiebo
Sergio and Goosen thumbs_u Didn't Goosen just win again over there last week? Dude is streaky. Monty: thumbs_d My Boy Adam and my boy Justin: thumbs_u brow

Squeegiebo
So, when I asked for Open lineup advice back in March, Fraz suggested: Scotty McCarron always seems to play good there. He travels over with Tiger & O'Meara on Tigers' jet & plays the week prior with them. Last year he finished 4 strokes back. Phil, McCarron & Scott or Rose. Since Rose has not qualified (I'm still all big_shoc about this), I'm left with definitely playing Mickelson and Adam Scott. Ya still think McCarron as my third? What about Verplank? Perhaps Niclas Fasth (or did he not qualify either  )? shrug Give me some love here!
Down Goes Frazia
OK squeeg..... here's what I got for 'ya. McCarron, Fasth & Rose are not exempt. wall_bas Verplank is. thinking list of exempt players European qualifying requirements Euro qualifying results Rose & Fasth both shot 138 and did not qualify if I'm reading this thing correct. US qualifying results McCarron didn't make it either. angry Don't you have Cameron Beckman ? He did make it. there's some very notable names on both lists that are not gonna be there. EDITED to ADD - I see you have Beckman on your roster... you may have to go with him. shrug He went 71-66 @ Congressional to make the last US spot. thumbs_u
Squeegiebo
I have Sabbatini too, who is on the list of exempt players. shrug
Squeegiebo
Squeegiebo: BTW - I picked up Vaughn Taylor in the supplemental draft. Play has been suspended, but Vaughn Taylor is currently tied for the lead. brow

lynch
Steve Flesch and Luke Donald are two to consider. David Toms did pretty well at th US Open. He might fair well here. Never Mind he has never really played well across the pond. I would go with Shigeki before I went with Monty. He has played well in several Majors, including a 5th at the '02 British. Down Goes Frazia
It's my pick & looking @ Bjorn, Appleby & Maruyama. Bjorn had been solid the past few years over there including a 2nd. last year.... & Appleby has played well this year... not to mention well over there too. I'm like'n an all-euro squad. (-2) Appleby - 20th. (-1) there's the past 7 years dating back to the last time they played @ Troon. Fairly even... but I give the edge to Appleby..... and they posted near identical scores in '97 @ troon. appleby d*mn near won this thing 2 years ago..... and was hotter than a 2-peckered billygoat earlier this year. He's my man. Take a look how many times Bjorn is near the top over these years too. eek! Bjorn & Appleby get the nod. thumbs_u
Squeegiebo
The team with Els, Clarke, and Harrington could be tough to beat.
lynch
Wouldn't it be VJ, Clark and Harrington? It would be Els, Love and Perry. I also like Woods, Scott and DiMarco, if Woods can gets his head out of his, well you know what I'm saying.

I guess I'm due to lose. the cool thing is that all 5 squads are in our local FF league. We pay up a week after the PGA @ our draft..... if I win either the British or the PGA.... lynch
I am not saying anything about your team because I helped with input on your selection. I don't say anything about drafts I am involved in until the game has started. So I carry that over to advice, did the same thing with the US also. lynch
VJ and Clark were enough for me to stick a fork in him. There were better golfers available at each pick. I was just saying who was on those teams.
