Shooter_McGvn
Julius Jones rushed for 140 yards and a TD in week 1 against Rams last season. Portis had a TOTAL of 104 yards and zero TDs in TWO GAMES against NYG last year!!! Am I crazy for starting Jones, my 4th RB (have Moreno), over Portis??? It's worth noting that Jones only had 4 carries in second game at Rams last year. But that was when M Morris was getting workload and he's not on team. I just don't see Edge taking away that many carries and Rams D is a mess. Edited September 10, 2009 by Shooter_McGvn
Shorttynaz
I really like J Jones this year, and personally I stayed away from Portis - just a gut feeling. If it were me, I'd start Jones - just based on the matchup, although this is a new year.
wildbluefan
I have same decision in one league, and will "roll the dice" with ...gulp....Ju Jones ! Portis traditionally struggles vs the G-Men, and he is BY NO MEANS a STUD anymore IMO....of course Jones is far from stud status, but gotta like his opportunity this year, with the new O C who is a RUN-FIRST freak , and , you gotta love the matchup !!! NavinRJohnson
Same decision for me. I am going with JJ!! Lots of upside compared to Portis and really less of a downside. Edited September 11, 2009 by NavinRJohnson
