mroban
Hey guys. Im playing in the WCOFF online championships. You get $1,000 for the season to bid on free agents. My gut feeling is that since Free Agents are more important early in the season, to spend more in the first few weeks and not worry so much how much is left over. So how much do winning bids on the good free agents go for early? $100? $200? Im talking about WRs that had good first weeks, not emerging star types. My gut feeling is that if there is a player that is a no-brainer, spend $200-250. For more speculative plays, the $50 range is fine - if I get them great, if not its not worth capping out for. Anyone have any suggestions here from experience in this kind of format?
WoundedDuck
What ended up happening in your league? I was thinking about bidding on Knox this week, but have no idea how much he'll go for. Last week, Robert Royal went for $150 in one of my WCOFF leagues.
Big John
I was noticing that for a RB or WR, you may have to go to the $300 range. You can go very low for speculative players or for a low-value player such as a kicker to fill in a bye wee.
WoundedDuck
I was lucky and drafted Manningham in the 20th round in both of my leagues, so I don't have to worry about bidding for him, but Knox will likely go for several hundred dollars and I have no idea how to gauge what I should bid on him.
