The one thing I kept noticing is that the hour seemed to be almost constant commercials. I'd be interested to know how much actual show there was.

 

that's ABC. they do that with a lot of their shows. seems that have more breaks, but they're shorter.

'V' returns to 7.3 million viewers

 

V made a poor return to ABC last night, according to overnight viewing figures.

 

The fifth episode of the Elizabeth Mitchell-fronted sci-fi series - the first to air in 2010 - pulled in 7.29m during the 10pm hour.

 

Last year, the show premiered to an impressive 13.95m on Tuesday, November 3. The second and third episodes were seen by 10.56m and 9.26m, and the last visit of 2009 managed 9.2m.

 

Earlier on the Alphabet network, the latest instalment of Lost, which focused on the characters of Sun and Jin, logged 10.06m at 9pm. At 8pm, the Dancing With The Stars results show drew 14.09m.

 

CBS's reruns performed as follows: NCIS put in 10.69m at 8pm, spinoff Los Angeles claimed 10.15m during the 9pm hour, and the 10pm screening of The Good Wife took 8.07m.

 

The Biggest Loser put in 7.36m for NBC between 8pm and 10pm, then 6.27m watched Parenthood during the 10pm hour.

 

90210 and Melrose Place grabbed 1.51m and 1.06m for The CW at 8pm and 9pm respectively.

 

Fox's two-hour American Idol slot averaged 21.33m.
