eladioc
If someone proposes a ridiculously lopsided trade in your favor, you accept it, and the league has a chance but does NOT veto it, are you at fault for accepting the trade? Do the other owners have a legitimate reason to be upset even though all trades are subject to league approval?
Montana is da Man
If they don't reject it, it's their fault. Every trade in my league is up for debate if you have a valid reason. If we don't vote to veto it, the trade goes through.
ts
It seems likely that there is more to this story than has been explained thus far, but based on what info is available - if your league rules say that a vote can overturn a trade & that vote did not happen / did not veto the deal, then nobody has any real reason to be upset about the trade going thru. AGS
If its a lopsided trade to someone whos gonna make the playoffs from someone whos just horrible with no chance of playoffs....then somethings up.
eladioc
The trade was from a person who was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs to a person tied for first place (me). There was no collusion; probably just a frustrated move by someone who has had a tough season. I was shocked to see the trade offer and thought twice about it because of how it might impact the league, but then I figured it was up to the league to vote it down. I had been trying for weeks to acquire some of the players whom he eventually did trade, so I guess that is how he knew who I wanted, but that was the extent of our communication. Montana is da Man
Personally I'm not a fan of teams who are mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs trading. I understand they may want to play spoiler, but they shouldn't alter the league with trades. With that being said, it still happens and if the trade is not lopsided there is nothing I or anyone else can do about it.
