Haven't seen the hawks lately

there's four hawks that live in the trees next to me. do they fly south for the Winter? It's been above avg temp wise here. Although, there is a tad bit of development going in to their South. These trees are about 400 yards from the street and another 100 yards from Lake Erie. I sure hope the developing hasn't run them off. They were fun to watch.

Cardinals have returned to the holly bushes out front, right on schedule. Not sure how far those things travel.

 

I thought hawks pretty much stayed in the same place. Don't know that for sure.

 

Edit - apparently some haws do migrate . Looks like you are in an interesting area for hawks: http://www.epa.gov/med/grosseile_site/indi...-migration.html . Looks like you are right on the edge of seasonal and year round chicken hawk, so I suppose it would be all about food inyour area. http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Red-tai...awk/lifehistory
