NEPats
Manning got me to where I am - but he's facing the #1 statistical defense in a game that means nothing to them. Smith is facing Detroit - nuff said. My opponent has Gore and Crabtree starting - so how would this weigh in my decision? Thanks all will try to answer yours. Montana is da Man
I'd start Smith against a D that can't stop anyone and I think it will help you to offset what Gore and Crabtree do. Plus, who knows when Manning comes out of the game.
jgriffin9834
I dropped Smith awhile ago. Manning got me to the championship, he'll get me out of it! Smith has a great matchup, but who knows if they build a lead and start running it? Take a look at my FLEX dilemma, will you? --> http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=312798
MTSuper7
Whether your opponent is starting Gore and Crabtree is irrelevant. You start the players you think will score the most points. Period. Having said that, I don't think you can make the statement that this game for the Colts means nothing. They are undefeated. The players want to keep it that way and make history. And whereas the Jets are #1 statistically, I still think you have to roll with the guy who got you here. Sure, Alex Smith could put up big numbers, but the matchup is no guarantee (Schaub vs. the Rams last week he only got one TD).
