If I send my wife in for a new set of D's and a tuck do I get to deduct? Seriously you can't deduct the cost of a hearing aid but you can deduct a sex change. That's fudup. Yeah, that one was a head scratcher. Haven't read the case, but the only way the result would come out the way it did was if the "gender reassignment" were deemed "medically necessary," which I suppose might be justified in some extremely rare cases.
