One thing I've heard about the front loaders (but I've never purchased one so didn't do the full research on) was something with cleaning the front lid/hatch area. There were some people on slickdeals talking about how you can get a nasty build up of some kind and it's a real beech to get it clean. I know this is a terrible description but it had to do with the way the water was in constant contact with the lid/seal. Some people preferred the top loaders because you didn't have to worry about this issue. Just a heads up (for what it's worth). I'm sure you are, but do some googling and see if you can find some horror stories just so you know what is possible. Good luck.

I've seen that as well. I've not experienced it personally. We run the cleaning cycle with bleach every couple months and have no problems.

We've had the Whirlpool Duets for almost two years and have nothing but good to say about them. Man can you pump a lot of laundry through those bad boyz!!!
