polksalet
I love this distro but my old machine is barely running the current version. I'm pretty sure that the newest will require more torque than this machine can muster. http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9595_22-406545.html
AtomicCEO
Man I hope they don't go all Firefox on me... Starting out as the fast, lean, non-bloat awesome product and slowly turning into a bloated turd. I noticed some big slowdown between 8.10 and 9.10 on my thinner machines. I've actually been experimenting with Xubuntu to try to run a little leaner.

I tried Ubuntu as dual boot on my Windows system but since then I've had nothing but problems in Windows for whatever reason.

I've got it dual booted on my 4gb Vista machine and it is crazy fast. I might add another stick of ram to this old bird so that I can still run it.
