Last ditch backup for sump pump

So, we have a 58 year old house with an unfinished basement in the DC burbs. Last spring, we got a helluva lot of rain and got seepage around the joint between the slab and the sides of the basement.

Desert Dry put in a drainage system linked to a sump pump. We have a battery back up that is supposed to work for 8 hours (presumably continuously).

If the SHTF, I'm thinking about buying this human-operated pump, hoping I can get a siphon action going (I think the street may be below the level of the sump).

Will this thing pump water out of a sump (through garden hose) and about 100 feet to the street?

TIA
