Do I Take DWill

Recommended Posts

DWill for what? Who are you other choices? To most answers, YES! DWill is a stud and especially valuable if you have Stewart too (also a stud). If there are no limits to how long you can hold these guys you have the added advantage that eventually they will be on different teams, hopefully and likely in prominent roles. This year you will kill yourself week to week deciding who to start tho.

If you think he is the best available player at the position you decide to draft with your pick, then yes, you take him. If he is not the best available player at the position you decide to draft, then no, you don't take him.

Without additional specifics about the league (scoring and lineup reqs), your draft spot, who else you kept and perhaps a couple other things, we can;t really give much more specific suggestions/advice.

I like Grant but my only concern is there isn't much upside. The only other back that will be there is Mathews but I'm not sure about taking him with the second overall pick.

I look at Grant like the new Rudi Johnson.. There's really no upside of a huge year, but he's a consistant safe 1200 - 10td guy, give or take... Wich for me doesnt make him a 1st rounder, as I never looked at Rudi as a 1st rounder... I would take DW.

I can get him with my first round pick in four man keeper league. My other choices are pretty much Grant or Mathews. If I got him would it be wise to start both as I can start up to three backs.

I like RyGran and RyMat over DWill for sure. MattMo and JClaus worry me.

I'm torn on Mathews. On one hand he could be the next LT and would be a great pick but on the other hand he is a rookie. If I take him with my first round pick and he is a bust then I have only one decent back in Stewart. Big gamble that I don't know if I want to take.

Grant is the safest pick here. Having both backs in a RBBC means you have to either guess which one to play or start both, and starting two RBs on the same team, even a team that runs as well as Carolina, will probably make your team inconsistent week by week. For instance, the weeks that Carolina is playing a top tier defense like the Jets, it's a double whammy.
