Sports talk radio here in DEN was buzzing, and they all reported that insiders are saying that this is indeed the same foot he injured in college, and that it is a stress fracture that will require placement of additional screws in his foot.

No confirmation from the team yet, but I suspect we wouldn't get confirmation that a player died until 2 weeks after his funeral from McDaniels.

Hard to say. You'd need a deep bench, figuring he'll miss at least 1 game and probably more, and then he'll be behind the learning curve for at least a decent portion of the season. I'd guess right now that the best case scenario you could hope for would be production sometime after midseason, meaning he'd be a hole in your bench for a while.
