The wild onions in my yard are doing fine. POFS "Stay-Green" fertilizer.

Check your local nursery. There are products not named Round Up and Josh Gordon B Gone that can be applied that will kill wild onion . Check the label to be sure onion is listed.

I don't care if they list wild onions, the ONLY way to get rid of them is to dig them out. Even using a brush dipped in glyphoste and "painting" them won't kill them. Glyphosate is the active ingdedient in Roundup. You have to dig them out, period. The extremely limited leaf surface is also water repellant. Herbicides just can't stick to them. Labels lie. If they list wild onion, it's a lie. They may knock them down alittle, but they won't kill them. Nothing in NY that is legal can kill wild violets either, and if you try to dig them out, they will just sprout 3 new shoots to replace the one you pulled.

Just like the BS Scotts says about "season long" crabgrass control, it's a lie. The label says you can seed grass after 3 months.... guess what, crabgrass will also germinate after three months too. Labels lie.
