gbpfan1231
I think he shouldn't negotiate at all. So every time the minority party doesn't win the election or like anything they can just run away like some petulant child and get their way? Seems like a bad precedent. No way would I ever negotiate with a bunch of political terrorists like these 14 cowards. Remember when we were told to sit in the back of the bus because "elections have consequences"? Did you see an R's running away and hiding like a bunch of fools? Now that they are not in power (in WI) compromise is suddenly en vogue again? Even after they were unwilling to compromise on anything when THEY were in power? No way, man. I say let them rot in IL. Noting wrong with negotiating. IMHO. But I do agree that running away like little girls is not the right answer and at the minimum these people should be punished at the polls. I know people are comapring this to a filibuster but it is a bit different - they are technically breaking the law and a filibuster is part of the process. Yes I remember the elections have consequences but this whole fiasco has shown the hypocrisy of politicians. Repubs don't negotiate but it is OK for the Dems to run away. Calling Walker Hitler is OK but don't when Obama was getting called a socialist you were then a racist. It goes on and on and if the tables were turned it would be the same hypocrisy on the other side.
Ursa Majoris
Calling Walker Hitler is OK Um, no. No it isn't. I think anyone comparing virtually any politician to Hitler should be severely beaten until they come to their senses.

Agree but there were plenty of signs in Madison saying this and I am guessing some of those people were jumping on the Tea party racial train that was being spouted from the Liberal media. I think both sides were wrong but just pointing out that politics is just a bunch of hypocritical people.

bpwallace49
Did you defend the tea party people when all the media was calling them a bunch of racists? That was basically the point. You really dont understand. Extremists of ANY party should be dismissed out of hand. Radicals with pictures of Obama as Hitler (like at some tea party rallies) and the wack-jobs that are comparing Walker to Hitler. Anyone that does that or justifies those actions should be ignored, because they REPRESENT radical behavior and have deviated from a path of rational discourse. People in this forum have denied that people at tea parties are racists or extremists. That is head in the sand thinking, just like if anyone was to discount the pictures of Walker to Hitler. You are making comments about Walker being called hitler "OK" and if you questioned Obama you were a racist. You are essentailly using "well a racial did that for the other side so now I can endorse stupid behavior by MY side"! It is stupidity no matter WHO does it. gbpfan1231
Yep. Well done gbpfan . . . . I don't think it is a huge reach to think that someone stupid enough to be calling Walker Hitler would also be on board with labeling Tea Party people racists. I guess we can just continue to disagree.
