Martin's publishers that the U.S. release date for the next book, A Dance with Dragons, in his Song of Ice and Fire series will be July 12, 2011. Martin is said to be finishing some last rewrites and the book will be immediately printed and bound after that. While book release dates are always subject to change, given the history of this particular title and past problems, this new date seems to be relatively firm. I hope it happens.
