Twitter for businesses

I'm curious if anyone here has experience with using Twitter to target and entice prospective clients. Has the experience been successful? If so, what angle did you take that made the experience successful? What sort of content (and how often) do you provide to keep your 'followers' coming back?

I do quite a bit of social media marketing for my company and my clients.

Social media is all about trust, build trust, build a following. Consumers can smell angles a mile away.

Your content is based on your business and the audience - don't regurgitate content that anyone knows or can find on the web, offer an insight or value that they can't otherwise find. Give them a reason to keep coming back.

Awesome content is what it's all about - its up to you to figure out what that is.
