bpwallace49
Jets' Edwards keeps vow, paying tuition for Cleveland students May 27, 2011 NEW YORK -- Braylon Edwards has made good on a promise he made a few years ago by sending 100 Cleveland-area students to college. The New York Jets wide receiver tweeted Thursday that "as the 2nd most hated man in Clev & a man of my word," he was honoring his commitment to pay for the students' college tuitions if they reached certain academic goals. Edwards is giving about $1 million to the students from the ADVANCE 100 program, established by the receiver's foundation while he was playing in Cleveland. "Guys, enjoy and embrace your new beginnings," Edwards tweeted, "and remember your promise to me, to reach back & help someone else along the way." Thats some good stuff right there . . . plus he has donated over $500,000 back to his alma mater Michigan for scholarships. better than the "make it rain" stories of NFL players . . thats for damn sure. If only he could spend some money for a better set of gloves so he stops dropping passes . . .

Given that it is a well known fact that most strippers are just goodhearted, chaste, midwestern coeds trying to get together a little money for their education; isn't making it rain one of the most efficient and direct forms of supporting the education of our youth?
