arnoldg3
It seems like quite a few members participate in Championship type leagues which utilize blind bidding to acquire free agents. Any words of widsom on strategy? I've always felt that it made sense to make one large bid to acquire an excellent player, who also fills a need on the roster. Others wait and try to upgrade as often as possible. It never made any sense to me to be too conservative. You typically dont win the bids, and are left with bidding dollars at the end which have been wasted. Any thoughts?
bostonsoxandy
it matters if your league allows you to acquire a WW pickup for $0 or $1 minimum. In leagues I'm in with a $0 minimum i tend to throw the cash around looser since even if I run out I can still get by.

For instance, one league has a rule that blind bids are serviced by Wed midnight and after that we can grab free agents for $0. So you'll never have a hole you can't fill. So if a Foster, Grant, Vick, whatever comes along then you can bid big, especially if it's an area of need (but you can usually trade them to someone else who has a bust at another position). NOSaint237
I think you explained it to yourself. Don't be cheap especially when it comes to a need.
Double Agent
No trading allowed. No free agency other than through blind bidding system. Minimum bid $1. $2,500 bankroll. Not allowing trades ruins half the fun. And $2500 bankroll? What's the point?
