muck
A friend of mine, Wayne, is undergoing a bone marrow transplant as a last-ditch effort to cure a rare form of blood cancer. The doctors say that it looks pretty good as the donor is as close of a match as you can get, nearly identical to using a sibling's DNA. He's about 70yrs old, has been married for the last 45yrs or so to the same woman, has a grown daughter, a son in law, a grand daughter and another on the way. He's a true gem of a man. I hope I'm like him when I'm his age. Gracious. Giving. Caring. Insightful. Doesn't let bad news get in the way of having a joyful spirit. In the time I've known him, I've never seen him in a bad mood (despite the inconvenience, suffering, the unknown, etc. from his cancer). ...anyhow...I thought I'd share this bit with you guys...
