Big Country Posted October 4, 2011 Share Posted October 4, 2011 Everyone seems to have been bashing the credit card companies lately, but I want ot give credit when credit is due. Apparently someone attempted to use my wife's card to purchase a little over $700 worth of items at a Macy's. Within minutes of the transaction being attempted, I had a phone call and an e-mail from Am Ex security to verify the transaction, and when I informed them that it was fraudulent, they immediately reversed the charge without question, closed the account and are sending a new card to my wife via UPS so she can start racking up legitimate charges ASAP. But to be truthful, we had the exact same thing happen with our Citi card, and they did the same thing AMEX did...called immediately (it was 11:30 PM), reversed all charges, canceled the card, and sent us a new one which we received in two days. I do like some of the other perks AMEX offers, though....esp the 1% no minimum-balance savings account. Nice liquid place to store our slush funds, and easily transfers to our checking account.
