ForzaPackers
Ok so we`re past week 5 now and we have a better idea now of whos going to have a great season. I just want to get opinions of who yous think will get most passing yards, most receiving yards and most rushing yards? I am going to do a couple of bets on these markets and maybe even a double or treble too which would be very high odds. So here are the stats so far http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/statistics/player/receiving/sort/receiving_yards/2012 Here are some odds: Most Passing Yards Drew Brees 6/4 Eli Manning 5/1 Tom Brady 8/1 Matt Ryan 8/1 Peyton Manning 10/1 Matthew Stafford 12/1 Everyone else is 16/1 and higher Most Receiving Yards Calvin Johnson 3/1 Reggie Wayne 5/1 Brandon Marshall 8/1 AJ Green 8/1 Wes Welker 12/1 Demaryius Thomas 12/1 Roddy White 14/1 Victor Cruz 16/1 Marques Colston 20/1 Brian Hartline 20/1 Antonio Brown 25/1 Percy Harvin 25/1 Larry Fitzgerald 33/1 Dwayne Bowe 33/1 Everyone else 40/1 or higher Most Rushing Yards Arian Foster 5/2 Jamaal Charles 4/1 Marshawn Lynch 7/1 Lesean McCoy 10/1 Maurice Jones-Drew 12/1 Adrian Peterson 12/1 Steven Ridley 12/1 Ray Rice 14/1 Alfred Morris 14/1 Frank Gore 16/1 Reggie Bush 16/1 Willis McGahee 33/1 CJ Spiller 33/1 Everyone else 40/1 or higher I was thinking Demaryius Thomas, Jamaal Charles and Drew Brees would be the 3 winners but who would yous reckon and who looks a decent betting price? Cheers
historymike
Passing yards: I think Brees gets the nod, since the offense is so pass-oriented and the team seems to never lack for Wrs, TEs, and pass-catching RBs. Receiving yards: I like Brandon Marshall, if only for the fact that he has two games against the woeful secondary of the Lions. Rushing yards: Arian Foster, given the willingness of the Texans to get him the pill 25-30 times every single game. Charles has never handled a big load like this, and I think he will get burnt out if the Chiefs try to make him a three-down back, plus the KC passing game is really struggling, making more three-and-outs and cutting into the opportunities for Charles. rajncajn
It probably won't happen with Brees facing some tough defenses on the schedule, but he's on pace to break 5,000 again this year. With a decent lead on the other QBs already he should end up on top easily this year.
ForzaPackers
Ye was thinking barring injury Brees should easily have the most passing yards at the end of the regular season. Brandon Marshall could be a good shout, I just like Demaryius Thomas though cos Denver seem to have a favourable schedule and I think he could be a good bet. Calvin Johnson at 3/1 is very underpriced and will be staying away from him. Ya may have persuaded me on Arian Foster instead of Charles. Might do a Brees/Foster double and Brees/Thomas double
BA Baracus
At 16/1, I LOVE Victor Cruz... I think Brees by a mile. RB will be whoever doesn't miss games to injury.
ForzaPackers
Was thinking of Cruz as hes a good price but when Hakeem Nicks is back won't that eat into the receptions Cruz gets?
BA Baracus
Nah, Nicks will just draw coverage off of Cruz. I don't think Nicks hurts Cruz at all, maybe even helps him.
