Endzone Is Near
Do you think he is the most valuable patriots receiver as of right now in non ppr leagues? Yes. Edelman of course is good for PPR, but I'd rather have a guy who Tom Brady has loved since day 1 and is clearly the better all-around player. ffgreg
Thompkins moves far ahead of Edelman once Amendola returns as well.
Tripleshot
Please remember he's a rookie and will likely be prone to inconsistency. How many red xzone looks does he get once Gronk is back?
ffgreg
Agreed not expecting many but he's the one true downfield threat at this point. Giving him good value in standard leagues. These injuries have allowed the two to form (forcibly) a connection.
dougsul
Well Gronk will get most likely get double teamed near the goal line. I know that might not make a difference, but just saying. Having the corner shade gronks way I feel will help Tompkins. Maybe wishful thinking.
Bronco Billy
Please remember he's a rookie and will likely be prone to inconsistency. How many red xzone looks does he get once Gronk is back? Gronkowski will absolutely and rightfully be the top target in the red zone. But opponents know that also and will send additional coverage his way. That makes a guy like Thompkins who runs sharp routes and has reliable hands still valuable down there. The shortened field in the red zone negates speed and rewards technicians. Edited October 3, 2013 by Bronco Billy

They may not always be great at stretching the field, but put them in the redzone and they are in their element.
