Hmmm, I was coming into an existing keeper league, so being an idiot I took Warren Moon and Jim Everett first (they were both coming off 3800 yd, 25+ td seasons, back when those were studly numbers...)

 

Terry Allen was my first "real" pick.

I ended up with Jimmy Smith, but he was a waiver wire pickup.

(wow, that was way off - my keepers from that year were John Friesz (ugh), Terry Allen, Adrian Murrell, Chris T Jones (from Phi, young guy who had a promising year and then wrecked his knee), Jimmy Smith, and apparently Trent Dilfer - my SECOND drafted team was Testaverde 1/1 in a 6 man keeper (that was off his career 4300 yd 25+ td year), Greg Hill, Jay Graham, Jake Reed, Eric Metcalf, Bert Emanuel, Brent Jones, and Jason Dunn. Remarkably enough, that team went 9-3-1 and won the division)
