Half-PPR: Trade J.Nelson for L.McCoy?

Recommended Posts

I'm in a 10-team, half-ppr idp league with deep benches. I went WR-heavy in the draft but am thin at RB. So far, I've done well (6-1), but I want to convert some of my WR depth to RB strength.

My Offense (this week's starters in italics):

QB: T.Romo, A.Dalton

RB: A.Ellington, B.Tate, I.Crowell, B.Sankey, B.Brown

WR: J.Nelson, B.Marshall, AJ Green, M.Sanu, S.Watkins, E.Decker, R.Randle, O.Beckham

TE: M.Bennett

In this situation, would you trade Nelson for McCoy? I prefer Nelson in this format, but the fact that McCoy has already has his bye week makes the offer tempting. I originally offered B.Marshall but he countered with J.Nelson.

I'd much rather give up B. Marshall over J. Nelson. Jordy Nelson is having one hell of a season and I don't imagine it will come down anytime soon. Not sure i'd make the trade for Nelson, Mccoy's also had a few games this season when he was held in check against teams he should have run through.

Have you looked at other RB's?J. Charles, A. Foster, L. Bell to name a few. Maybe their owners are hurting for WR and B. Marhsall will seem more appealing.

I play in a .5pt ppr league and Jordy has been tearing it up, you would be weakening your team by making that trade. I would shop Marshall and see if you can get something decent for him. You said you are 6-1 so no need to be in a hurry
