It's a move that's been expected for weeks. Hyde had been shut down since Week 7. He was the only bright spot in the 49ers offense before going down, averaging 4.1 YPC behind one of the league's worst offensive lines. Shaun Draughn will close out the season as an every-down back. There are already reports that the 49ers plan to re-sign him. I really have yet to see anything from Hyde that makes me think he is the caliber of back that would be the automatic unquestioned full time guy.
