Cowboyz1
I just don't quite understand why the NFL and to some extent the teams I suppose choose to stay with a 53 man Roster and a 46 man game day roster. I forgot what the logic was to this argument again. It would seem to me you would want to allow for as much quality in the league as possible and with the NFL claiming player safety is all important to them why force teams and player to risk themselves for the team due to being short at a certain position?Especially on Game day. If you are on the team why would you not allow to have all your players on the roster available to play if need be. Seems that if player saftey was an issue you would allow for as many subs that are on your 53 as possible. I just don't get why they limit the rosters. What's the point of limiting the game day roster so that teammates have to sit in the stand or in civis when at the game.I would like someone to explain the logic here. I remember asking this once but I forgot the answer. I believe is was to keep competition up or something like that.I would like to team to be something like 60 player rosters and no game day limit.
Zooty
they can't let all 53 dress because most teams are usually short a few guys so its 46 to keep it fair. Can't have one team dress 52 and another 49. What they should do is make the roster 55 or even keep it at 53 but allow practice squad guys to dress on game-day to make it 53 or what ever the bigger number is Pat Kirwin on Sirius talks about this all the time with respects to bigger rosters and more safety. tazinib1
I think everyone should dress on game day. Everyone except cheerleaders. That's just un-American IMO
