theeohiostate Posted December 27, 2004 Share Posted December 27, 2004 Sportline has Vinatieri missed FG as a 49 yard attempt yet, in every play by play it states he missed a 50 yarder. We are deducted points for the length of missed FG's and there is a 1 point difference between a 50 and a 49 yarder. Anyone have any insight on this? Note that the elias sports bureau reviews that during the week, and if they determined that is it was any less than 50 yards (even by an inch), they will call it a 49-yd attempt.
