ts
• 13DEC04 Palm Beach Post on David Boston: Dolphins receiver David Boston was suspended by the NFL for 4 games for failing a steroids test but will not miss any games because he is on IR with a season-ending knee injury. In a statement Sunday, Boston denied that he used anabolic steroids but conceded that he tested positive for a "related substance." Boston also said the NFL used "lower standards of reliability" in its testing and that he felt medical testing was incomplete. • 07DEC04 AP on David Boston: Dolphins WR Boston pleaded innocent Tuesday to charges of assaulting a ticket agent at the Burlington International Airport in October. Boston, who was charged with simple assault, did not appear in court. His lawyer entered the plea for Boston. The player, who has missed the entire season with a knee injury, is reportedly appealing a 4-game suspension by the NFL after testing positive for steroids. Boston is accused of striking a US Airways agent in the face after he refused to let him board a plane. According to a court papers, Boston told police that Ed Gorchinski had caused him to miss his flight and had spit in his face. All this (including the 2nd knee injury) following his prior weight issues, DUI/substance abuse problems & reportedly poor attitude in general. The guy had 2 good seasons, the last being 3 years ago ... 4 years by the time you have to decide if you want to draft him. Let him be somebody else's problem.
