alexgaddis
Read and React: Getting Pack attacked By Charles Robinson, Yahoo! Sports May 3, 2005 Dark skies in Green Bay? What dark skies? Apparently, it's always Nirvana in Wisconsin – a place where most fans truly believe nothing can hurt their Green Bay Packers. And we mean nothing: not police incidents, free-agent losses, aging talent, salary-cap problems or inner turmoil (see: Brett Favre's comments on Javon Walker). Readers believe the Packers will be just fine, thank you. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of fans who dropped us an email came off as in a state of denial, or downright blind. And while a few readers made good, constructive points, others lined up like little children following the pied piper, slinging expletives and proclaiming that the offseason really means nothing. What – you people think the New England Patriots built those Super Bowl teams in the preseason? Whatever the case, Packers fans promise to come back and hammer me when they win the Super Bowl this year. Good luck with that. And feel free to pour more gasoline on the burning mailbag. But remember to include your first and last name as well as your city and state. We can't print the hate mail if we don't have all of your information.
