Bengals generated a nice + ratio in the TO dept, so I thouhgt their DT was OK, the talk is that Marv wants Lavar? So, Bengal Homers, any talks or rumors around town?

5 Int's per game against the NFC North. We sucked last year. They had 31, but 20 came against us.

Here's an article from today's Daily News.

Giants fall behind in LaVar chase

The Giants haven't been eliminated from the LaVar Arrington chase yet, but the race is starting to get a little crowded. The ex-Redskins linebacker is planning to visit the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend and also will make his second visit to Miami.

Arrington was supposed to be in Cincinnati yesterday, but due to a scheduling conflict, never made his visit to the Bengals. A source said he is likely to reschedule that trip because he wants to hear what their coach, Marvin Lewis, his former defensive coordinator with the Redskins, has to offer. He may detour there on his way back from Florida early next week.

As for the Giants, they have not held any talks with Arrington's agents, Carl and Kevin Poston, for several days, according to several sources. Arrington visited the Giants on March 11-12, but has made no plans to come back. For the moment, his asking price remains too high.

Meanwhile, another Giants target with a too-high asking price, receiver Keyshawn Johnson, signed with the Carolina Panthers last night.

I doubt it will happen. His agent's are the Poston brothers who also represent Pro Bowl LB Peterson, who just signed a huge deal.I'm sure they'd ask for similar(15-18 million guaranteed,50 million+ total)money for Arrington.

Bengals aren't known for chasing the high-priced FA. Even if he visits, I doubt he signs. Bengals management just won't pay a premium price for him IMO.

Besides, LB is the least of their defensive worries IMO. They've used 4 draft picks (1st round, 2nd round, 2 3rd round) in the last 2 years and still have vet Brian Simmons.

Basically it's between Jacksonville and Miami now, if Miami gives him a decent proposal today then he'll accept, if not then he'll most likely sign with the jags.

I saw this posted on Finheaven, I guess OJ Mcduffie (ex mia receiver) had spoken to Arrington last night and reported this on a local radio station.
