Swampnuts
I've got a few choice elk steaks in the freezer I want to fire up this weekend. The wife doesn't go for the "wild" flavor, so I usually marinate them with teriyaki. I'd like to try somehting else, anybody have any suggestions? I have the same problem with my wife. She loves my Rasberry Chipolte Satays: Slice Elk steaks into 1/8th to 1/4 inch strips The easy way is to purchase Raspberry Chipolte Sauce from Cosco add a little pepper and garlic. Marinate for 6 hours or overnight and grill or broil.

Jimmy Neutron
elk needs nothing.... 1484901[/snapback] Yup. Elk generally doesn't have the wild taste normally associated with wild ungalates like deer. Elk are grazers and eat more mild food. A little S&P and a smokin' hot grill = some dang fine eats!
