Buckwheat
Seems as though most "experts" are picking Portis to go at the #4 spot this season and Tikki has primarilt been #5 from what I've seen. I am selecting #6 in my redraft and like the upside of Edge but I'm not sold on him until I see something behind that O-line. Other than Edge, who do you believe would be worthy of the #6 RB pick? After reading many posts on here the Ronnie Brown hype is peaking my interest I must admit. By the way, I'm a long time Huddle member but have had many issues with registering for this forum so I basically gave up on posting until recently when I finally fixed the problems. Let me introduce myself...... my name is Buckwheat, I am a fantasy football junkie, and I bleed Black and Gold!

Randall
Brown or Caddy I agree. Am drafting now and both are gone at the #7 spot.

Scourge
How about Steve Jackson. I think he is going to suprise people this year. I have him #6 on my board.
Footballjoe
Brown, Caddy or Rudi. I guess you could put SJax in there to. I have taken Brown in 2 drafts. One in slot 6 the other in 7. I think all will be about the same.

I think all will be about the same. Yep, these 4 are the ones to choose from. IMO I grab Rudi as he's the only one of the four who's proven his numbers. However, the remaining 3 all have potential upside. That being said, your 1st pick needs to be the safest. I say Rudi.
Men In Tights
With all the comments above, I assuming everyone has Edge ranked as the #10 or #11 RB this year? The only RB on this page that has done anything consistently year after year is Rudi (Jordan did farily well). I understand the OL issue, but Emmitt did farily behind a crappy OL in Zona and with that passing game no team can put 8 in the box to stop Edge. Let me throw out a very popular phrase, I wish I was in a league with all of you so I could pick Edge at #12.

Avernus
Explain to me how Edge hasn't proven himself like Rudi has? the Bengals OL have proven themselves.....the AZ OL hasn't.... Edited June 19, 2006 by Avernus
Men In Tights
the Bengals OL have proven themselves.....the AZ OL hasn't.... I understand this point, but who has been running behind said OL? Slugs IMHO

Avernus
I understand this point, but who has been running behind said OL? Slugs IMHO you never know...JJ Arrington could be good and Emmitt looked over 40 running behind that OL...
Buckwheat
It's really interesting to see that even as high as the #6 pick this year there are question marks surrounding RB's. Not so sure about Cadillac over Brown. Gruden's tendancy to RBBC scares me. SJax had some real stinker games last year even when he was force fed the rock. You can't have your atud RB throw out goose eggs. Rudi is a stud but if I have the option of drafting a 3 down RB over a RB not active in the passing game I will. I think all the guys mentioned will be 3 down backs except Rudi.

Other than Edge, who do you believe would be worthy of the #6 RB pick? Note the question. He asked OTHER THAN EDGE, who would you pick. Thats why Edge was not mentioned in the replys. Of coure we could have given him one of these and said "take Edge".
Buckwheat
So FBJoe, sounds like you'd take Edge over the others mentioned? It might have been a better poll topic to ask who will put up the most points this season: Edge Rudi R. Brown Caddy Jordan IMHO it comes down to Edge and Brown. That's a tough call!
