PantherDave
Hat's off to Rayfeild Wright for one of the most moving speeches I have ever heard, a very grounded man who remebers his roots and all of todays "me" players should listen to this montlhy-Incredible Edited August 5, 2006 by PantherDave
muck
I agree. After the speech, I went into the bathroom, looked in the mirror and gave myself a pep talk! And, when I left and walked back to the living room, I wondered about closing my business to coach HS basketball. I prolly won't do anything like that, but I did spend a few minutes thinking it. That was a speech.
budlitebrad
Great speech. It didn't beat Jimmy V, but it was up there. EDIT: BTW, I think guys like Freeney are amazing football players, but as I watch the clips of Reggie White it is just insane to see him shove a guy like Larry Allen right out of the way even with one bad arm. It may be my blind homerism, but I'll take that over a spin move any day. Edited August 5, 2006 by budlitebrad
Retrograde assault
The Big Cats presenter was easily the most eloquent too. I enjoyed Wright, Madden and Aikman's speeches, not so much Carson and Moon, but some people are just better speakers than others.

Retrograde assault
Eloquent? I don't even really know what it means but Madden strikes me as an ordinary joe, stuck in a high profile position. I enjoyed listening to him.
Hat Trick
I only saw Carson, Wright and then only Aikmens highlight reel before I had to jet, and I agree Wright's speech was moving. Edited August 6, 2006 by Hat Trick
Jimmy Neutron
Eloquent? I don't even really know what it means but Madden strikes me as an ordinary joe, stuck in a high profile position. I enjoyed listening to him. I know a lot of guys trash Madden, but I like the him. He's a football guy that's not trying to impress his audience with constant references to "what I did." budlitebrad
I don't mean to be a woman, but I did kinda have a moment when Reggie's wife and son unveiled his bust. I mean it was just really emotional to watch.
Cowboyz1
Very solid ceremony. I love that Norv Quote. But, throwing that losing interception has got to be very rough, I know, even I have to drink a bottle when we lose like that.
Return Of S&B
Carson's and Wright's speeches were both very moving to me and of course I enjoyed Madden's speech....after that I couldnt watch anymore, just too emotional....I'll try to catch the rest of it today. My wife still teases me about the Marcus Allen induction speech a few years back, I had to fight back the tears because the guy was a hero to me back in the 80s...and even when he played for the Chiefs in the 90s I always thought the guy was a class act. I didnt know anything about Rayfield Wright before yesterday, but his humble approach to the game was very refreshing...hopefully a lot of the current NFL players watched his speech because the general attitude these days is completely different.
