matt770
So our local IDP keeper league is in its second season and everyone is all pumped for the draft at the commish's house in 2 weeks. Especially me, I love my keepers and I'm the defending champ, plus we play poker after the draft and it's basically an afternoon in guy heaven (well except there are no strippers). One problem, the last place team dropped out and no one wants any piece of this pathetic franchise. First of all, we get to keep one rookie, plus any other player and this team has no rookies. So for the one keeper, they would have a choice of this awesome lineup: D. Brees (SD - QB) M. Vick (ATL - QB) W. Dunn (ATL - RB) R. Droughns (CLE - RB) R. Moss (OAK - WR) R. Smith (DEN - WR) J. Horn (NO - WR) D. Branch (NE - WR) M. Muhammad (CHI - WR) A. Gates (SD - TE) J. Stevens (SEA - TE) A. Bryant (CLE - WR) D. Davis (HOU - RB) L. Tynes (KC - K) J. Taylor (MIA - DL) K. Vanden Bosch (TEN - DL) D. Smith (SF - LB) G. Brackett (IND - LB) K. Dansby (ARI - LB) S. Knight (KC - DB) A. Archuleta (STL - DB) S. Payne (HOU - DL) K. Wong (HOU - LB) My suggestion was we relax the keeper restriction for this team only, and add Portis to the team (Portis owner is keeping Tomlinson). So let them keep Portis, plus either Gates or Moss since they have no rookie to keep. I also think we would have to give the new team a discount on the league fee as an incentive. It's $58 plus $1 per transaction. I hate bending the rules for one team, but suddenly it looks like this league is going to break up and it's the one league I was really, really looking forward to. All this because one guy punks out and leaves us all hanging. Some guys just have no problem breaking their word I guess.

matt770
I'm in Elkton, MD. The draft is in southeast PA, not far from the DE/MD/PA borders.
