sevenout
He seems to be the better RB and yet, K. Barlow is getting more carries and gaining less yards. K. Barlow 67/187 = 2.5 ypc L. Washington 51/217 = 4.1 ypc Any thoughts or info on this will be helpfull,as I'm week at the RB position and could use some help. Thanks Sevenout
Jimmy Neutron
I hope so - I picked him up a few weeks ago after watching him carry the ball a few times. He is clearly better than anyone else they have.
LooGie
for some reason they're sticking with a RBBC here, probably because they traded for Barlow, they want to force the issue. Probably killing time until Martin comes back.
Rovers
RBBC and it will get even worse when Houston comes back. I will say I think that there is a slight chance LW could win a feature back role, but I think it's a long shot, and if it did happen, it wouldn't get settled until week 10 or so. JMHO. tomfin2000
It's only a matter of time. Washington is clearly outplaying the other RBs and unless Martin returns, there are no other backs on the roster that the Jets should fell compelled to start in front of him out of loyalty or for financial reasons. I could be mistaken

I could be mistaken he's fighting for it. with bone on bone, it's just a pain thresh-hold thing, i think. I would've thought he was out for the year, but after hearing he's fighting real hard to make it back and could be within a week or so away, I started to get about it. I don't think he can carry a full workload for a season. I think Barlow is going to keep on getting the reps because of his experiance, and is probably better at pass protection that Washington is at this point in his career. Thanks to all for the info I'm just trying to decide whether I want to grab him, as he is a FA No one will ever question CuMarts heart and love for the game, but I think his body has worn down to the point where he cant do it any more. The Jets have two weeks to figure out what they're going to do--weather it be to activate him, or to place him on the IR. I honestly think that we're about two weeks away from one of the all time greats retiring.
piratesownninjas
I also recall that upon his retirment, the jets are expected to offer him some type of role or position with the club-As a coach or in the personell department. I beleive I read it on mfl, i'll see if I can find the link.
LooGie
Thanks to all for the info I'm just trying to decide whether I want to grab him, as he is a FA let him sit there until you hear more. I wouldn't even grab him until he actually plays a game. He's really getting up there, and you can without a doubt expect a RBBC even if he is GREAT just to keep him fresh. Rovers
As a Jets fan, I have serious man love for Curtis Martin.... but he is as done as the forgotten hamburger on the grill from last night.
