rocknrobn26
Bad news for the Bears. Brown is a HUGH playmaker... LINK Yeah, the mrs. heard it and told me. But still not IR is a good thing! Johnson is good, but he ain't Brown. Hopefully this is NOT the begining of the injury bug! Ogunleye & Bradley have been bad for 2 weeks! Both are vital, IMHO! Torn ligaments don't heal in two or three months. And speaking of the "injury bug," Brown has had it for years now. I wouldn't be surprised if he were cut after this season. gilthorp
I think we'll hear that he is on IR in the next few days. Todd Johnson will be OK, but Brown is a big time leader back there. They are deep enough, but this does hurt. Chris Harris is still recovering from injury and should be ready, and even though they suspended Brandon McGowan for "THIS WEEK", he should be in the mix as well. Probably will see Brown on IR and they'll bring McGowan on to the roster. Edit: If that's what the article basically said, I apologize. Pope Flick
This is bad, with the potential to be worse. Although not the play caller, the last two time he's been hurt there was a noticeable drop in the team D overall. They have bolstered the secondary since then but if you want to compare '85 and '06 this guy is Gary Fencik all over again and I don't think Fencik would see that as any type of slight. Hopefully the new guys can get in the ballpark of filling in for him, otherwise the secondary is in trouble.

Hopefully the new guys can get in the ballpark of filling in for him, otherwise the secondary is in trouble. Except for the fact that Fencik was a natural SS and that Brown is only a SS because he lost a step after the Achilles tear. But I completely agree that the Bears D slips a little now, especially in the turnover category.
