Beer suggestions for a cold tailgate?

I went to a game at Lambeau a few years back on Christmas Eve. It was one of those below zero games.

I thought I'd be smart and bring a nice bottle of warm Cab for tailgating.

Not only does that not really fit in with the tailgating crew there, but it was ice cold after about 20 minutes. :D

That's a different level of cold. Methinks liquor is the only option in those conditions!

Jaeger is perfect for such an occasion, but still needs to be set in the freezer in advance. As long as it's pretty cold outside, not handled a lot & kept out of the sun it will stay pretty cold. Seasonal ale's make a great chaser. :D

Something else I like to sip sometimes when it's cold out is apfelkorn, but not too much of it because it's sweet & would make you sick.

Which reminds me...For something a little different a good hard cider isn't bad on a cold day either.

I was at a December tailgate in Chicago a couple years ago and they had what they called "apple jacks." They had a big pot on a burner with Jack Daniels, apple cider and cinamon sticks inside. Damn good and definitely kept you warm.

+1 Good stuff. :D
