Big play kind of guy we need in the middle, and can play on the outside aswell. Martin Rucker TE- Another receiving threat. Blocks okay, but when teamed with K2 the offense will add another look. I like what we did here. Added a lot of beef to the interior of our defense. On offense I have wanted another receiving TE to attack the seams and free up Braylon on the out side. I like this a lot. I remember reading a snippet on MFL news saying that Savage coveted Bell a few days before the draft... I guess that was an accurate write up. Going into today my list was Xavier Abidi Philip Wheeler Bruce Davis Beau Bell I never thought Xavier would last as long as he did, but I am still happy with the pick. The Steelers are pissing me off with their picks. They are making a lot of good adds, more to deal with in the future. dirtdickens Posted April 27, 2008 Author Share Posted April 27, 2008 Rubin is a nice player. A huge space eater in the middle. More depth to keep Rodgers fresh and productive. Hubbard is a great pick. Got injured and played in a run all day offense. Showed huge potential when involved in the offense. Was actually one of the better receivers before injury. loaf Posted April 30, 2008 Share Posted April 30, 2008 I don't follow college all that much. I was also out of town during the draft and didn't see it. That being said, when I opened up the paper on Monday and read the names, I didn't recognize a one. I do like the addition of Rucker though. Winslow's a trooper and plays hurt but it's not only the injuries that scare me but the contract. I dont know if it is due to our talent, or the other teams in our division making ridiculous moves. Anyway, it is nice to feel good about being a Brown again. K2 is a hell of a player, but I honestly dont want im around much longer. The Browns were nice enough to give him money for the years his poor decisions cost us. Now he wants more money? Please. I remember when we traded our second rounder to move up one spot to take him. Those decisions really tested me as a fan, taking a long snapper in the 4th round? I guess those feelings are associated with K2 and carry on with me today. I would rather have Aaron Shea and a Rucker than Tha Soldier.
