v0dka
Michael Turner missed Falcons practice with a groin injury Wednesday. Quizz or Snelling?
Big John
Snelling is the primary backup, Rodgers id the COP back.
darin3
If Turner is out, I'd prefer Rodgers, especially in PPR formats. Snelling has a pretty low ceiling, IMO. Definitely a situation to watch, as Turner typically burns out around this time of the season and has a history of groin issues.
PPIchamp
According the Huddle's SOS tool, Atl has the #1 most friendy rushing schedule from here on out, so these backup's are certainly worth grabbing to see how this injury pans out. I picked up Snelling in the two leagues I'm in where he was available. Rodgers was there too, but Snelling has a significant size advantage so I'd imagine he'd get the goal line carries. Both are useful in a PPR so that aspect is a wash, Snelling's 2.3 YPC (vs. 4.4 for the rookie) is concerning.
delusions of grandeur
Snelling is the primary backup, Rodgers id the COP back. Most likely this, though I think Quizz would be likely to see more touches if Turner were out, but yeah, no doubt they kept Snelling around to be the bruiser if need be. He just doesn't have the upside of Quizz though... I'll let you guys know if I hear anything about Turner, but just remember that they frequently do this with Roddy when he's the least bit banged up, not even practice him at all sometimes and put the Q tag on him, but then he almost always plays and plays well... So it could just as easily be a precautionary thing with Turner probably not really needing the practice at this stage in the season (particularly if it's only Wednesday, or even Thursday he's out), but I will say that I'm a bit concerned about another groin injury after another large workload so far this year (and make no mistake, defenses have been stacking the box on him a lot, hence why his YPC hasn't been as good as it could be)
