Rimmytose
I'm reading that Amendola and Gronk are practicing again. What is your opinion of Edelman's value if they both play? My feeling is that first week or 2 they are back he might still hold some value, but if they both stay healthy I think Edelman sees less targets and his value declines. stevegrab
His value declines some, but Amendola will be hurt again, and then he'll get more looks. Thompkins coming on is also going to reduce his value. I still see him as a Welker-lite and capable of good numbers when there are not a lot of other options. Rimmytose
I see him about the same. Going to have to wait and see who starts for NE this week before I can decide who I start.
darin3
If Gronk and Amendola both come back, Edelman's value honestly is nothing more than a handcuff, if you will. No way he gets 9 targets/game with those guys around. As others have said, though, Amendola could get hurt again. Who knows. If you have Edelman rostered, you don't drop him because he's a PPR machine when Amendola is hurt. But if Amendola (and to some degree, Gronk) are healthy/starting, playing Edelman would prove to be a bit of a waste IMO.
