Will miss a week or two it says, not sure I'd muck energy trying to guess on the JStew backup.

That was the report before he had his MRI. I haven't been able to find any more recent reports since his MRI. Panthers are keeping it quiet for some reason.

Strange he had the MRI on Monday, but no word yet on the results, or update on how long.

It just seemed like a situation that was fluid and changing, with a RBBC by whoever places him, and with Cam taking some of it no matter who the RB is. Figured there are better options like DET and SD where guys are out for multiple weeks for sure (Woodhead for the year, and Abdullah now on IR, could return).

Coach Ron Rivera said Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) could be out "two weeks, three weeks, four weeks."

This sounds like a classic coach answer. Rivera is simply being facetious with his answer and not trying to tell the whole truth. Stewart has long been a slow healer, however, and hamstring issues in running backs and receiver can linger. Stewart seems pretty certain to miss multiple games. In his absence, OC Mike Shula said the Panthers will use a committee in the backfield.

Thanks a lot, Coach. :weird:
