  1. I'd have to agree with Big Country. The more research you do about injuries and RBBC's the better equiped you are at draft time to hopefully hedge your bets and know which one to go with and which one not to. And the NFL is a copycat league, the Steelers won last year with a RBBC so I wouldn't be surprised to see others try and immitate this year......
  2. The dumber those tv shows are the better for me. The most most my competition does in my local league other than get the yahoo rankings and a magazine is watch one of those goofy preseason rankings shows. If they want to take Peyton at 4 God bless 'em.....
  3. That's the same reasoning my wife gave me for only having sex once a year….
  4. If I get the third pick in the draft I'm taking him and joking about how the Madden curse will probably ruin my season as I'm putting the sticker on the board..... Then when he gets hurt in October have everyone wonder why I'm throwing Madden 2007 against the wall when I get it for my birthday in November.
  5. I absolutely agree. I have a league that I've been running for 5+ years and it always amazes me the trouble that I have getting everyone together. I clear out that last weekend of August specifically for the draft. If I didn't enjoy the live draft process so much I wouldn't even bother.
  6. Thank you Avernus that's the point I have been making since Brees left and all of a sudden people are afraid to draft Gates. I can't wait for him to prove to people that Brees didn't make him it was Gates that made life easy for Brees. A superstar tight end can make a quarterback look amazing. Ask Drew Bledsoe
  7. I'd give another vote for CBS, I run a keeper baseball and football through them and have been very happy. Just don't listen to their advice....
  8. I was able to grab Steve Smith last year in my local league a lot later than he should have gone because he was hurt for most of the year in 2004. Is there anyone that I could target this year that may fall under people's radar?
  9. I'd say McGahee too. But since I got burnt by Lewis last year after drafting him I'll be steering clear of him this year, he'll probably put up decent numbers with the QB change. He's got way too much to prove to suck as bad as he did last year again.
  10. Just looking ahead to the fantasy baseball season and wondering if anyone knew of a fantasy baseball site that is as good as this one is for football.
  11. From everything I've heard and seen over the last few years, Brady and Dillon will both play the entire game unless they are up by a huge number in the fourth quarter. Both of them played the entire game last week against TB even though the game was won by the fourth quarter. I'd look for two td's from brady and one on the ground from dillon.
  12. The team I'm playing in the finals this week has both LT2 and Turner, just glad he has to sweat something out this week after the "automatic" points LT2 was putting up to start the season.
  13. Looking back on the '05 draft probably should have grabbed Tiki in one of the first two rounds instead of Deuce and Jamal....... :doah:
  14. So you think Tiki can repeat his '05 performance in '06? 1st round RB?
  15. That's true, they are both awful. But at least he'll be out there
