  1. The Best of Times starring Robin Williams and Kurt Russell
  2. Two guys in one of my leagues have gone with Mendenhally Resharded Victorious Secret I have been changing my name in one league weekly until I get a win and I have been using obscure football movie references So far this year I have been: CaptInsanoPowerBombs FlacoSugerBowlers ManumanaTheSlender Spiked Icebox I think I am going with either Hightower2Dundee or RodioTidwell next bonus points if you can name the movies
  3. Vikings Eric Lattimore, DE, Penn State I think he is actually the younger brother of Steve Lattimer, DE ESU The family had to change the spelling of their last name after Steve shamed them with that whole steroids and date rape fiasco he went through in his senior season.
  4. and a little shameless self promotion
  5. dailynorseman report with nice detail regarding acl tears
  6. That's a low blow, kick us while were down.
  7. That is going to be an ACL tear for AP. And why wasn't the obvious helmet to helmet on Ponder called?!?!
  8. I have Mark Ingram and Andre Johnson and was just offered a trade in exchange for Brandon Marshall and Jonathon Stewart. starting 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 qb/wr/rb/te flex, and 1 wr/rb/te flex in a 12 team league my current roster is QB Fitzpatrick, Ponder RB Gore, Helu, Ringer, Ingram, K. Hunter WR Fitzgerald, N. Washington, A. Johnson, E. Bennett, Bess TE F. Davis My thoughts are: Ingram is in an increasingly crowded backfield and was marginal before his injury Stewart is splitting with Williams but likely represents a bit of an upgrade over Ingram Johnson won't be back until after his bye and who knows how healthy he will stay Marshall is getting tons of looks but his upside isn't as high as Johnson's add in the fact that Ingram and Johnson still have their byes while the two I would get have already had their byes and I get another week of production. I am hanging onto the playoff picture by a thread and my team is held together by a thread.
  9. The thing Ponder Impressed me the most on was that he showed some balls. After being picked off twice by a future hall of famer he threw 3 or 4 more passes to the guy Woodson was covering. He didn't shrink up and play scared, he didn't go pout, he didn't keep checking it down, he went right back at him. It was also nice to see McNabb giving Ponder advice and encouragement on the sideline. He didn't have to do that and he could have easily ignored Ponder.
  10. Nevermind just found it http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8233...-amid-15-season
  11. I don't see anything on NFL.com but there is this on Ponder's Yahoo player page
  12. Oh and out of that list of trades, the biggest winner has to be Kluwe for getting McNabb to donate to his charity, 5 mentions of his band and an ice cream cone.
  13. 2006 traded 2 3rd round draft picks to move up and take Tavaris Jackson in the 2nd round 2007 Gave away a late round draft pick (6th if I remember right) for Brooks Bollinger, and drafted Tyler Thigpin in the 7th round 2008 John David Booty selected with a 5th round pick which they used traded into by exchanging 5ths and giving up a 6th 2009 4th round pick traded to acquire Sage Rosenfels 6th round pick traded to acquire Kelly Holcomb 2010 Joe Webb in the 6th round 2011 Christian Ponder in the 1st 2012 6th round pick and conditional 2013 6th round pick for McNabb That is a whole lot of draft pick to burn searching for a long term solution. There have been 2 quarterbacks in the history of the Vikings that fit the "franchise quarterback" description, Culpepper and Tarkenton. Here's hoping a load more draft picks don't vaporize in trades trying to find or bridge the gap to the next one.
  14. Chris Cook actually looked pretty damn good against him one on one. There isn't a corner in the league who could have covered Johnson on that 1st touchdown, the second touchdown and the majority of Johnson's oher catches came when the Vikings went to a zone where they inexplicably ignored him. McNabb/poor coaching lost the game. Why the hell are you throwing (poorly thrown) deep seam routes to Kleinsasser on 1st down with the lead in the 4th quarter?!?!?!?! Why the hell does Bernard Berrian still have a job!?!?!? Why the hell doesn't the guy you just paid $100 mil have the ball in his hands on fourth and short with the game on the line?!?!?! Hell... Why the hell doesn't he have the ball in his hands every freakin' play in the second half!?!?!?
