Gopher Posted October 8, 2017 Share Posted October 8, 2017 I'm assuming it's the bottom of the fibula, which is basically the ankle area. My wife broke her fibula stepping off the bottom step of a stairway in July, by severely twisting her ankle. She thought she had just a severe sprain for about 3-4 days, then decided to go to the doctor (at which point X-rays showed a fracture in the fibula). No case was needed, as it is not a weight-bearing bone. Ironically, a month later, I did basically the same thing stepping off of a curb, except that I broke the larger of the two lower leg bones (tibia), which is the weight-bearing bone. So, while my wife was basically in a walking boot for a month, I was in a cast for a month, followed by walking boot/crutches. Needless to say, I cringed when I saw OBJ's replay.
