steeler
I hadn't really ever seen Rivers before last night.... It looks like he puts a lot of effort into throwing the ball... like the ball is too heavy or something... he just didn't look fluid while throwing the ball at all... I thought that was important in the NFL
billay
Rivers has always been lacking in the fundamentals of his throw. He played for 4 years at NC State that way...

steeler
Can he make it in the NFL with that crazy windup? Seems like it would be easy for the defense to react to passes since it takes about 5 seconds to let it rip. Has he made any improvement on it during his first year? Because if he has, it must have been gawd-awful while in college.... and if not, why not?
billay
I have to believe that he is working on his fundementals. His unorthodox throwing style was definately tops on his list of issues going into the draft last year. I hadn't seen him play again until last night, and I can't say that I saw much of a difference. Better that he works on it now, before he might actually get some PT. I think you're right, steeler, sooner or later, defenses would take advantage of him.
