Donutrun Jellies Posted September 4, 2005 Share Posted September 4, 2005 Wow. Seeing the Steeeelers cut Fred Gibson and Alonzo Jackson surprises me. I'm a bit disappointed to see Mike Schneck go -- soft spot for long snappers for some reason. I'm not surprised that Brian St. Pierre got let go -- he wasn't going to be the future, so why carry him when you're starting a young QB ... But Gibson? Ruffian Posted September 4, 2005 Share Posted September 4, 2005 Gibson will clear waivers and end up on the practice squad. Word I got was that he was lazy at times and didn't run the right routes. Jackson flat out stunk it up. I have seen him underachieve at camp for three years. Good riddance to him, to be honest. I like the Roper kid--he's a hitter at least.
