BS Miscreant
The Jags have been very good against the pass, and pretty good against the run too now that I think of it. How does the loss of Darius effect them?
CaptainHook
Darius was a very physical part of their run stopping D. He's a bit of a liability in coverage. Deke Cooper is better against the pass. They'll be ok.
CaptainHook
there is a bit of talk about this in the IDP forum: link
gilthorp
Deke Cooper had 11 solo tackles in his very first start for the Jags a few years back. He's been in the system, should be able to step in, and after maybe a week or two of growing pains, they may be better off, who knows. nopackerfan
Just ask Robert Ferguson how he feels!
cmoore
also remember that the Jags were preparing to not have Darius due to contract problems and the possibility that he was going to leave the team has been prevelant for a couple of years. They got a deal done this year (good for him that he did not sign the 1-year franchise offer now)...point is they have considered this position before. As was posted earlier, Deke Cooper is a should be a good player. Edited September 22, 2005 by cmoore
