Priority News yesterday:

Donovan McNabb - QB, Philadelphia Eagles  09/26/05

Reports are coming out of Philly that this week McNabb was tested for a sports hernia, a tear or disruption in the abdominal area that does require surgery to correct. McNabb had an MRI taken early this week and the results were sent to America's foremost sports hernia expert Dr. William Meyers. Word is the MRI was not conclusive enough to determine whether or not he had an abdominal strain or a sports hernia. Often an MRI doesn't show a sports hernia in the early stages of the injury.

Huddle Up: Everyone has been wondering why McNabb has been reluctant to run so far this season, and we may have our answer now. If this turns out to be a sports hernia then McNabb will have to play through the pain for the remainder of the season as rest and treatment won't really cure the problem. Thankfully for fantasy owners, it doesn't appear to hinder his ability to throw.
